We are now looking for a Financial Controlling Coordinator to join the Finance team in our Nordic Headquarters in Finland supporting all our Nordic countries. For this permanent full-time position, we are looking for a proactive and innovative finance professional who thrives in an international environment.

Overall objective to be achieved:

The objective of the Controlling Coordinator is to actively participate in establishing budget & actual reports, forecasting performance, identifying & analyzing variances, and challenging the organization. All those serve the main objective which is to support the company in achieving its business targets.

Reporting line:
  • Direct Manager: Controlling Manager
  • Manager's Manager: Finance Director

Main tasks and responsibilities:
  • Actively participate in annual budgets preparation, forecast and month-end financial closing activities. This includes new vehicles sales, used-cars sales, after sales business segments.
  • Monitor performance against plan, assess variances to gross profits and identify root cause from pricing, car model mix, local costs, foreign exchange.
  • Interface with product managers and local functions to ensure control on pricing and standard & local costs.
  • Report daily wholesale volume to all functions. Reconcile logistics and financial systems to guarantee accurate reporting and revenue recognition.
  • Support HQ and local functions with the preparation of monthly financial reports and other ad hoc reports and analysis.
  • Establish processes to secure financial control and reconciliation.

Additional tasks and responsibilities
  • Leads and participates in projects, both Finance and cross functional, when necessary
  • Raises flags on potential concerns in any functional area.
  • Other tasks assigned by the Manager
    (Within the scope of the employer's right of management)
  • Travels to the extent necessary to perform the position duties.

Required background, experience, and education:
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in finance / Controlling / Economics or Business
  • 3-4 years + experience in financial controlling
  • International experience within large matrix structured organisations would be an advantage

Skills, abilities, and languages:
  • Fluent English skills. Proficiency in a Nordic language appreciated but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work independently when required, yet as part of a team.
  • Very good operational knowledge of MS Excel a must, knowledge of SAP is also required.
