KONE Business Services (KBS) is a scalable business process platform making the KONE strategy happen by driving data quality and Lean ways of working. KBS drives best end-to-end business process outcomes in all KONE Areas and over 50 Units. KBS focuses on Sell to Cash, Source to Pay and Record to Report in a hybrid service delivery model (captive and outsourced).
We are looking for a Head of Development & Automation, KBS.
We are looking for a change leader to drive KONE Business Services (KBS) towards even more strategic relevance to KONE’s business and customers. The time is right to embark on the next phase of Global Business Services (GBS) maturity together with our dynamic and diverse leadership team. The opportunity to make a difference is twofold here. First, leading the business services transformation hand-in-hand with our company-wide business platform renewal. This is all about adding value building a scalable deployment engine as well as taking our KBS operating model to next level. And second, this role leads the development of critical capabilities in Automation, Quality & Lean, Transition & Portfolio Management at KONE Business Services globally. In this position you get to lead a team of approx. 20 professionals and you would be reporting to the Vice President, KONE Business Services.
Your Responsibilities and Key Activities:
Program Leadership (BPR)
  • Leading transformation of KONE Business Services as we go through the KONE-wide, multi-year, business platform renewal program
  • Leading the development of a “scalable deployment engine”-capability to drive ERP implementation objectives. Responsibility includes design and implementation of an ERP program support capability within KBS
  • Program leadership ensuring process- and operations leaders can contribute to the ERP program most effectively
Portfolio Management
  • Prioritize projects based on the strategic business objectives
  • Ensure that all programs and projects in KBS are planned, managed and governed in a consistent, transparent and disciplined manner
  • Develop, share and drive good business process migration practices and methodologies with KONE Frontlines
Process Automation
  • Leading the KBS automation competence to optimize efficiency, user/employee experience as well as quality in our end-to-end business processes
  • Working with the business to identify critical CX data, drive the development of un-attended / attended data quality monitoring routines
  • Driving the Process Mining / Task Mining pilot, model development for KBS owned/E2E processes
Quality & Lean
  • Own and develop KBS Quality framework by leveraging the leading practices, shifts the focus from reactive to proactive quality checks
  • Audit the compliance of all KBS delivery centers with agreed upon standards
  • Drive LEAN & LEAN Six Sigma agenda for the KBS, own KBS LEAN and LEAN Six Sigma portfolio
  • Owning & developing KBS technology tools, and meaningful performance/quality analytics and insights, aligns with KTI solution owners
Transition Management
  • Developing and implementing transformation approach focusing on taking business services scope, operating model and organization to the next level
  • Leading the team by keeping the organization highly engaged, talented and motivated, delivering exceptional results
Requirements for the role:
  • Experience and vision of business services / shared services transformation in an ERP-program context is a must. Experience and vision on how a company-wide major transformation program can be leveraged as an opportunity to drive business services scope, maturity and increased business impact.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in managing complex program portfolios and driving transformation processes across organizations
  • Deep understanding of the business services vision and how to get there to hands-on technical expertise managing projects
  • Proven strategic and structured thinking, ability to convert it to clear goals for own area of responsibility, capability to create a real sense of purpose and commitment
  • Advanced technology toolbox (e.g. robotics, AI etc.)
  • Understanding and experience in Lean culture and Quality frameworks in business process environment
  • Excellent prioritization, communication, critical thinking, and change management skills
  • Highly motivated, goal-oriented, diligent, creative, organized self-starter with an orientation towards high standards of team performance; strives to attain results and drives issues to closure
  • Good leadership, mentoring, and coaching skills
  • Proven track-record in senior leadership positions with ability to influence, collaborate, inspire and align organisation’s stakeholders including C level management
  • Relevant university degree (e.g. M.Sc in Data Science or Automation) or equivalent
  • Fluency in English
The position is located in Espoo, Finland or Bratislava, Slovakia and preferable start would be in January 2024.
