Postdoctoral Researcher in Mathematics: Geometry and arithmetic arising from knot homology

We are looking for a candidate with a strong research background in one or more of the following areas: algebraic geometry, representation theory, arithmetic geometry, automorphic forms, number theory, low-dimensional topology, symplectic geometry, quantum field/string theory, and algebraic combinatorics.

Possible research topics include:

  • The local(-to-global) theory of automorphic forms
  • Algebraic geometry around curve counting invariants and their categorification
  • Geometric representation theory
  • Arithmetic geometry in equal and mixed characteristic
  • The relationship between algebraic geometry and Floer theory, in particular motivic integration
  • The physical mathematics of supersymmetric gauge theories

The expected start date for the position is September 1, 2024, or earlier, and the tentative duration of the position is two years, with an option to renew the contract subject to mutual agreement.
