We are looking for a Technical Training Specialist at ABB Oy, Motion Service division in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki. Besides being the base of our global competency development team, Helsinki training center is one of the historic and strategic location of Drives training and for the whole ABB. In this facility we develop and provide complete Low Voltage Drive training portfolio to various audience including our own colleagues, partners and customers. With this role we are looking for a self-motivated and resilient technical trainer who always chases the technology and helps us build our content with the best possible way in the market and has the necessary skills and passion to train our customers and colleagues. Global Competency Manager of Motion Service
Your responsibilities
- Delivering trainings on all service products on Low Voltage Drives and Motors & Generators like ACS880, ACS580, ACS800, wind turbine drives, liquid cooled drives, Low Voltage Induction Machines and similar
- Creating content for classroom trainings including presentations, binders & hands on exercises, piloting them and delivering them when launched
- Supporting Competency Management Team on training center facility supervision. Tracking and maintaining the equipment inside the training center making sure they are up to date and safe to work with
- Creating digital content on our learning management system using new platforms e.g. virtual reality and mobile technologies
- Supporting Competency Management Team on creating content in collaboration with colleagues for tailored courses and offers for the end customers
- Delivering the existing training portfolio in class and also on-site
Your background
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or proven minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position within ABB
- Very strong written and spoken skills in English is a must
- Proven skills by official ABB field reports or ABB training delivery logs of ACS800 or ACS880 and ACS580 family including cabinet-built drives commissioning and fault tracing is a must
- Knowledge about applications like pump, fan, compressor, and such is a strong advantage
- Proven skills of Motors & Generators trainings are a plus
- Any other ABB drive knowledge is an asset
- Enough mechanical knowledge for understanding machines, liquid cooling units and their working principals is an asset
- Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time
